WHO!
We are looking for an SEO Specialist to help us create and drive the strategy home!
Position Responsibilities:
The SEO Specialist will create strategies for clients' websites based on where they are currently so they can reach page one of google.
- Based on your audit of client, create strategy and specific tasks
- Put said tasks in our tracking system for check off and completion
- Work with our web development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code
- Prepare the business for Google’s Page Experience Update
- Implement site recommendations based on latest algorithms, and competitive analysis
- You stay up to date on current industry practices, news, and algorithm changes
- Daily monitoring of Google Search Console to report on and correct errors and warnings
- Reporting (data from analytics/Google Console)
Tasks!:
- Be in a weekly Monday morning meeting (PST) to review weekly initiatives with the team
- Participate in client meeting // Two a month for first 6 months
- Create specific task to completed each month by you, the blog writer and the web development team
- Manage timelines, feedback from clients implement content
- Assist with communication & project management in collaboration with Leadership team and & collaborations
- Respond to all website issues and communicate with the development team to resolve
- Work closely with the team to align SEM distribution and SEO efforts
- Create keyword content outlines for blog writer in semrush
- Communicate with the blog writer to get blog completed
- Post or send blog to dev to team top post on website
- Optimize blogs on client WordPress website
- Post content on GMB, Blogs and other content pieces
Strong knowledge and passion for the following:
- JSON, Java script, HTML
- Google crawl health/crawl budget of websites
- Structured data
- Page speed
- XML sitemaps and robots.txt
- Reviewing and analyzing internal and client sites for areas that can be improved and optimized
- Preparing detailed strategy and audit reports
- Identifying powerful keywords to drive the most valuable traffic
- Developing link building strategies
- Analyzing keywords and SEO techniques used by competitors
- Keeping updated on both white hat and black hat SEO strategies to avoid and/or stay within search engine guidelines
- Compiling and presenting SEO guidelines
- Update content and website links for maximum optimization and search engine rankings

- You rarely do last minute work the day of the meeting with the client, you are a planner
- You stay within the guidelines of the packages and don't offer extra stuff or create extra work for yourself
- You don't need an assistant, you drive the work home yourself with the web development team at your disposal to implement tasks
Experience:
- Demonstrable track record of business results through SEO
- An in-depth understanding of search engine behavior, what practices to avoid, and what site changes will have the most impact based on current algorithms
- A strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, and/or other programming languages
- Advanced skill with Excel and or Access required. Exposure to SQL, HIVE, or other coding languages desired
- Understanding of responsive web design and SEO its implications
- Understanding of SEO best practices for ADA, site hierarchy, link building and content writing
- Understanding of Google’s core web vitals and expectations for crawlability and indexing
